  • COFFEE SHOP BARISTA
    Essential Job Functions:

    - Will be on your feet for the entire shift
    - Ability to work at a very fast pace
    - Must be able to work independently

    Position Overview:

    Baristas will be working in the Coffee Shop. You are responsible for the setup, cleanup, maintenance and operation of the coffee shop. You take orders from patrons and prepare coffee and coffee drinks in accordance with standard recipes. Some food items are also sold in the Coffee Shop. Baristas need to become familiar with the recipes and techniques used in preparation of these beverages. You ring orders into the cash register, collect payment and make change. Baristas also wash and sterilize glassware and stock all supplies. You must have schedule flexibility. Uniform and dress code required.

    Wage: $7.25/hour plus tips
  • SNACK BAR/CAFETERIA CASHIER & COUNTER PERSON
    Essential Job Functions:

    - Will be on your feet for entire shift
    - Flexibility and willingness to perform various duties
    - Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds


    Position Overview:

    CASHIER:
    Cashiers ensure an accurate accounting of all transactions, collections and disbursements. Cashiers itemize and ring food and beverage items into register, collect payment from all food service guests and make accurate change for the transaction assuring that everyone pays correct price for all food. Other responsibilities may include greeting guests and taking and serving food and beverage orders. Uniform and dress code required.

    COUNTER PERSON:
    Counter persons perform a variety of duties relating to cafeteria style service including greeting and serving guests, cold food preparation, stocking counters, condiments and food items, and maintaining a clean working area at all times. You are also responsible for cleaning tables in the dining area as customers come and go. Uniform and dress code required.

    Wage: $7.25/Hour starting
  • COOKS
    Essential Job Functions:
    - Experience preferred
    - Will be on your feet for the entire shift
    - Flexibility and willingness to perform various duties
    - Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds
    - Minimum age requirement is 16

    Position Overview:
    Positions include: grill and fry cooks for fast food operations; prep cooks; outdoor grill cook for brat stand.
    Some supervisory positions are available. Uniform and dress code required.

    Wage: $7.25/Hour starting, dependent on experience.
  • LIFT ATTENDANT
    Essential Job Functions:
    - Working outside, frequently in extreme weather conditions
    - Physically holding chairs while guests load and unload chairlifts
    - Physically swinging loaded chairs
    - Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
    - Snow shoveling required
    - May be on your feet for the entire shift
    - Minimum age is 18

    Position Overview:
    Lift attendants and operators are in constant contact with our guests and must be friendly and helpful when greeting and assisting them. You will be outside, sometimes for your entire shift, in all types of weather. You must be agile on soft and hard packed snow surfaces and able to walk safely down the slopes. You may be performing lift maintenance or de-icing towers and clearing snow. You may be assigned to work the Magic Carpet lift in the Tube Park. Uniform and dress code required. Uniform jacket provided.

    Wage: $7.25/Hour starting
    $7.75/Hour after training and passing a test to qualify as a Lift Operator
  • MECHANIC
    Essential Job Function:
    - Experience in heavy equipment operation, maintenance and repair
    - Diesel and gas engine repair and troubleshooting experience
    - Efficiency in troubleshooting of electrical ac & dc, electronics and hydraulics
    - Attention to detail is mandatory
    - Must be able to lift and pull a minimum of 50 pounds
    - Minimum age requirement is 18

    Job Overview:
    Mechanics service and preventative maintenance of all heavy equipment, snowplowing equipment, snowmaking production equipment, small engine, chair and surface lifts systems and snow grooming vehicles and implements. Experience in working in harsh weather conditions useful as hours may be long and weather unpredictable. Job duties include the operation of all equipment in all areas of Cascade Mountain.

  • GUEST SERVICES STAFF - Hiring Weekend Only
    Essential Job Functions:

    - Will be on your feet for the entire shift
    - Will be working in all weather for long periods of time and frequently in extreme weather conditions
    - Will need to learn proper radio etiquette
    - Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds
    - Some positions available for ages 16 and 17

    You may be greeting people at the walkway; operating the Ski Corral; or checking tickets and controlling lift lines at the base of the slopes. These positions are frequently interchangeable and you may find yourself rotating from one to another.

    Position Overview:

    Greeters are usually the first employee a guest meets and the last ones they see upon departure and you must be friendly and willing to dispense information and answer questions. Eye contact is very important. You are to be in position at the top of the walkway and acknowledge each guest with a smile and a greeting upon arrival and a smile and friendly farewell upon departure. You will be responsible for overseeing the safety conditions of the walkways, outside stairs and to a certain extent the parking lot. This may involve snow shoveling and/or notifying management of potentially dangerous conditions in the parking lot, walkways or stairs. You may be asked to help our guests search for lost or stolen equipment.

    If you are operating the Ski Corral you will be responsible for accepting skis and snowboards from, and returning them to, the guests. Accuracy is vital to ensure that the correct checked equipment is returned to the proper individual. You will need to be extremely courteous and able to work at a fast pace. You will also have to be able to answer questions and give directions to the guests.

    Ticket checking requires a friendly and courteous personality to physically check tickets that the guests are wearing. You will also be directing and controlling the lift lines by instructing guests where to wait, how and when to load and answering their questions and concerns.

    Uniform and dress code required. Uniform jacket provided.

    Wage: $7.25/Hour starting
  • SNOW SPORTS SCHOOL
    Essential Job Functions:
    - Good skiing and/or snowboarding ability required
    - Outside work frequently in extreme weather conditions
    - Teaching skills for all levels and ages necessary
    - Commitment to improving skills and teaching techniques through practice and clinics
    - Some clinics mandatory
    - Excellent customer services skills necessary
    - Minimum age requirement is 16

    Position Overview:

    Beginning as well as experienced instructors are encouraged to apply. There will be a required Instructor Training Clinic for all PSIA non-certified new instructors – usually the first two weekends in December. The cost covers lift tickets and training for the four days.

    Instructors work in high visibility positions and are expected to be particularly friendly, courteous and patient at all times. Instructors may be teaching at any level from beginner to racer. You may be asked to work at times other than your regularly scheduled shifts, and will be expected to do so as much as possible. You may also be asked to help out in the Cascade Kids program if needed. You may be assigned desk time. Uniform and dress code required. Uniform jackets are available for purchase upon successful completion of the training clinic.

    CASCADE KIDS STAFF

    Essential Job Functions:
    - Must love children; babysitting experience preferred
    - Good skiing and/or snowboarding ability required
    - Outside work frequently in extreme weather conditions
    - Ability to teach children basic skills necessary
    - Commitment to improving skills and teaching techniques through practice and clinics
    - Some clinics mandatory
    - Excellent customer services skills necessary
    - Some positions available for ages 14 and 15

    Position Overview:

    There will be a required Instructor Training Clinic for all PSIA non-certified new instructors – usually the first two weekends in December. The cost covers lift tickets and training for the four days.

    Cascade Kids Instructors will be working with children ages 4 – 12, must enjoy working and playing with kids and possess a lot of patience. Kids Instructors are under the direct supervision of the Snow Sports School Director and will be required to attend many of the same meetings and clinics as full instructors. This position provides a good opportunity to advance to full instructor status. Some instructors may be asked to work the Cascade Kids or the Snow Sports desk and may be asked to help teach other classes. Uniform and dress code required. Uniform jackets are available for purchase upon successful completion of the training clinic.

    Hourly wages while teaching lessons or leading clinics are:
    $8.25 Not PSIA/AASI Registered
    $10.00 PSIA or AASI Level 1 Certified
    $10.50 PSIA Level 1 and AASI Level 1
    $12.00 PSIA or AASI Level 2 Certified
    $12.50 PSIA or AASI Level 3 Certified
  • NASTAR STAFF
    Essential Job Functions:
    - Must have racing experience
    - Outside work frequently in extreme conditions
    - Ability to work with people of all ages
    - Able to handle a fast paced environment
    - Safety conscious
    - Minimum age requirement is 18

    Position Overview:

    Nastar staff is required to help with set up and take down of race courses. Courses are set up each Saturday and Sunday and all holidays. Nastar staff helps with course timing, announcing, and record keeping.

    Wage: $7.25 / hour
